OutsidetheCity.org provides outdoor recreational activities for at-risk, formerly gang-involved men and women. Our objective is to get participants outside the city, outside of their comfort zone and into the wilderness. We provide exposure and access to a diverse array of outdoor adventure activities. 

We encourage individuals and groups aged 18 and older to volunteer to engage with us at our outings. Outings are half day, full day or multi-day. 

We are looking for the volunteers with the following experience for outings in Orange, San Diego and Los Angeles Counties and beyond. 

• Wilderness guides and survival experts
• Team builders- with experience running outdoors adventure tours
• Trail runners, cyclists, endurance athletes, fitness trainers

Some of our activities include:

• Cycling with gravel, fat and mountain bikes
• Paddleboarding, kite surfing, surfing, jet ski trips 
• Sailing, kayaking, canoeing, rafting
• Running, trail running, hiking, backpacking
• Camping, overland trekking in 4x4 vehicles
